Manchester United Vs Barcelona Highlights

Wednesday 30 April 2008 @ 4:38 am

Manchester United will play Liverpool or Chelsea in the 2008 Champions League final after defeating Barcelona 1-0 at Old Trafford thanks to a screamer from Paul Scholes.

What a goal. It’s a gift from Gianluca Zambrotta, who gives the ball to Paul Scholes and the midfielder absolutely spanks it from fully 25 yards. His first goal for eight months - but it was worth waiting for.

Lionel Messi picks up the ball in midfield, takes on and beats Paul Scholes and beats him, cuts inside from the right, slaloms past Wes Brown and shoots from about 20 yards, stinging the palms of Van der Sar in the process.

Tuesday 29 April 2008 @ 11:27 am

Arsenal demolished Derby 6-2 at Pride Park with Emmanuel Adebayor bagging a hat-trick as the Gunners close the gap on leaders Man Utd to 4 points.

Excellent free-kick from the left by Savage is lifted over Fabianski by the number four from three yards and the Rams deserve to be on level terms.

Third-time lucky for the Dutchman when he is found beautifully six yards out by Toure as Derby’s defenders stand and watch. He takes the ball on his chest and smashes it home past Carroll.

Walcott makes a fool of Stubbs as he heads for the byline in the Derby area - he pulls the ball back, Eboue deflects it on as he falls over and Adebayor guides it into the open net.

Robert Earnshaw manages to stay just onside and slides a nice finish beyond Fabianski following a lovely defence-splitting pass from Todd.

Derby’s celebrations are short lived as the Theo Walcott finds the corner with a measured shot from inside the Derby area.

Simple stuff again for Arsenal as Derby’s defence goes AWOL - Clichy bursts on to a through ball down the left, centres for Adebayor to slide home into the corner.
