Five-time Copa Libertadores champions Boca Juniors thrashed Columbian side Cucuta Deportivo 3-0 to booked a place in this year’s final of the most prestigious tournament in South America where they will go up against Brazillian side Gremio.

Juan Roman Riquelme ran the show in the middle of the park and was first on the scoresheet with a peach of a strike from a free kick 25 yards out after 45 minutes. Martin Palermo then level the scores on aggregate for Boca with a deft header in the 54th minute before ex-Villarreal man Sebastian Battagalia scored the decisive third goal in the 83rd minute.
