Everton delivered another twist in the Premier League title race by defeating Manchester United 3-1 at Goodison Park.
He’s closing in on own goals now, as United go in front in typically clinical fashion. Wayne Rooney sends a ball over to the right to Luis Valencia and his drilled cross into the box is expertly controlled and rifled in off the bar by Dimitar Berbatov. Fabulous finish from Bulgaria’s record goalscorer.

An absolute screamer. You seriously won’t get a better goal all weekend. A long punt from the back is half-headed away by Jonny Evans and it falls to Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, who takes a touch before rifling in a vicious, swerving left-foot shot that curls into the left-hand corner of Edwin van dar Sar’s net with the Dutchman reduced to a mere spectator. Magnificent.

What a time to score your second league goal of the season. Landon Donovan sends Steven Pienaar into space down the Everton left and his drag-back from the byeline evades a couple of United defenders for Dan Gosling to hold off the challenge of Patrice Evra and steer the ball past Edwin van der Sar from eight yards.

Mikel Arteta finds Jack Rodwell just inside the United half and he powers forward, going past Jonny Evans, who has been poor today, and driving an excellent low shot from 15 yards into the far corner past a diving Edwin van der Sar. Magnificent stuff from Everton.
