Hosts Venezuela recorded only their second win in the tournament’s history after dispatching Peru 2-0 in a hot tempered encounter on Saturday. Second-half goals from defender Alejandro Cichero and sub Daniel Arismendi sent Venezuela top of Group A with four points from two games.
