Roberto Mancini made a winning start to life as Manchester City manager as Citeh defeated Stoke 2-0 at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Martin Petrov and Carlos Tevez supplied the first-half goals that marked Mancini’s coronation.

Carlos Tevez makes a run down the left, and two Stoke defenders are backing off. Robinho hopelessly mis-kicks Tevez’s ball across the box, but Martin Petrov is at the far post to tap in. A thumbs up from Roberto Mancini.
