Rafa Benitez will seek to rival Manchester United and Chelsea’s dominance in the Premiership by axing at least 7 members of the Liverpool squad preparing for tomorrow night’s final with Milan.

The Independent reports that Craig Bellamy, Sami Hyypia, Bolo Zenden, Harry Kewell and Mark Gonzalez will all be allowed to leave after Wednesday’s showpiece at Athens, while Anfield “God” Robbie Fowler and Jerzy Dudek have already been informed their contracts will not be renewed after this season.

Liverpool have already sealed deals to bring Lucas Leiva, a £6m midfielder from Brazilian club Gremio, Argentine left winger Sebastian Leto and Bayer Leverkusen Ukrainian striker Andre Voronin to Anfield this summer with the likes of Carlos Tevez, Seville’s Daniel Alves, Darren Bent, Gabriel Milito and Fernando Torres all being touted as big summer signings for The Reds.
