Manchester United were crowned the official champions of the world after a superb strike from Wayne Rooney gave them a 1-0 victory over LDU Quito.

Nemanja Vidic has been shown a straight red card and everyone is in total shock. The defender’s elbow made contact with Bieler while both players were on the ground in midfield and it’s hard to know what to make of that. The referee Ravshan Irmatov acted very quickly indeed although you have to wonder if Bielder’s over-the-top reaction made the situation worse.

Ronaldo lays the ball off for Rooney on the left side of the area and the England striker finds the far corner with a tremendous finish to give Manchester United the lead.
