Hernan Crespo netted a hattrick to guide Inter Milan to a thrilling 4-3 win over Champions League hopefuls Lazio at the San Siro.

Lazio took the lead as early as the 3rd minute through Goran Pandev’s looping effort before doubling their advantage in the 5th minute through Massimo Mutarelli header at the far post. Crespo then struck twice in the 20th and 35th minute to restore parity before Cristian Ledesma put Lazio 3-2 up through a perfectly flighted free kick in the 42nd minute.

The drama didin’t end there as Crespo got his side’s equaliser in the 81st minute before Italian World Cup hero Marco Materazzi headed in the winner 5 minutes from time to seal the win for the Nerazzurri.
