Manchester United Vs Arsenal Highlights

Man United took a huge step towards retaining the Barclays Premier League after coming back from a goal down to defeat Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday to move six points ahead of closest rival Chelsea.

Brown does well to make something of a hospital ball from Scholes and United build. Eventually Ronaldo gets to the line and plays the ball low into the six-yard box for Rooney. His sidefooted effort is blocked and goes out for a United corner.

Now United go close, less than 30 seconds after that Adebayor miss. Song fails to intercept a long ball and Rooney is in on goal. He shoots with the outside of his right foot, but Lehmann sticks out a boot and the ball hits his left heel and goes just wide.

Controversial. Very controversial. Cesc Fabregas’s shot is charged down but Robin van Persie picks up the rebound and gets to the byeline before crossing from the left. Edwin van der Sar, for some reason, keeps his hands to himself when he could easily have punched - and Emmanuel Adebayor bundles in from close range - with his arm, it looked like.

It’s like Anfield all over again. Shortly after taking the lead, William Gallas handles in the box to give away a penalty. Cristiano Ronaldo has to take it again after encroaching, Jens Lehmann is booked for some back-chat before Cristiano Ronaldo equalises for United. Drama.

Owen Hargreaves chips it up, over the wall and inside the left-hand post. A quite brilliant free-kick. Jens Lehmann did not move but I don’t think he would have got there.

The first touch by Ronaldo in the first video is simply world class. At that speed he was running, it’s amazing how he could control the ball by flicking it over the onrushing Arsenal defender.

Arsenal defenders thought that Ronaldo would be taking the freekick and did not react properly to Owen. Muahahaha! Brilliant freekick!
