Gael Clichy started off at the far post, but for some inexplicable reason walked along the goalline and didn’t end up marking anyone. It’s just dismal, dismal defending once again.

He tees up Didier Drogba about 30 yards out, on the right - Drogba powers into the area, goes past a pathetic attempt at covering by Gael Clichy and lashes a clinical left-foot shot into Manuel Almunia’s net.
