Espanyol set up an all Spanish final in this year’s Uefa Cup after beating Werder Bremen 2-1 at the Weserstadion last night to win 5-1 on aggregate.

Bremen took an early lead through Hugo Almeida’s looping effort in the 4th minute, before Miroslav Klose received his marching orders for two silly offences that shattered any hopes of his side producing a comeback.

Espanyol took full advantage of Klose’s dismissal when they notched two goals within ten minutes in the second half through Ferran Coro and Jesus Lacruz to booked their second appearance in the Uefa Cup final since 1988.
